Memorable dates of Russia: The book exhibition, dedicated to the 2000th anniversary of Derbent, opened in the library of Khasavyurt

On the eve of the beginning of the celebration of the 2000th anniversary of Derbent in the Rasul Gamzatov Khasavyurt Central City Library (Republic of Dagestan) was opened an extensive book exhibition devoted to the event.

The exposition presents a variety of publications reflecting the history, ethnography, architecture long gone and today one of the oldest cities in the world.

Derbent with its numerous monuments continues to engage the attention of artists and that is why special section of the exhibition is made of great art albums. Many on the shelves of classical and modern literature tell about the events that took place in Derbent at different times.
