Russian regions: Moscow City Day celebrated

5 and 6 September 2015 in the framework of the City Day of Moscow in 2015 in the central areas of the capital will be held celebrations, organized by the Department of Culture of Moscow. This year the main theme of celebrations will be "Moscow Triumphal Arc".

The program of activities for the City Day in 2015 was drawn up taking into account the wishes of Muscovites due to large-scale online voting in the project "Active citizen". More than 200 thousand residents of Moscow have chosen the most interesting events for them, the most popular was Citywide day excursions (28%).  

September 5 at 12:00 on the Red Square will be held the opening ceremony of Moscow City Day 2015. The large-scale festive presentation will be done in the style of retrospective, talks about the main events in the life of Moscow and all Russia, about Moscow - the city-hero. Simultaneously with the opening ceremony on the Tverskaya Street will be held march bands participating in the festival "Spasskaya Tower" accompanied by the Kremlin Cavalry Regiment, and the horsemen children's riding school.

On the Pushkin Square will be held the Festival of the Moscow press. Color Boulevard for one day will become a "Children's Boulevard": there will be organized a fascinating workshops, dance programs and etc.

On Neglinnaya Street will be held an International family-run International festival of street art and creativity "Bright people", which will bring together the best cultural and educational projects, talented teachers and brightest creative professionals from Russia and Europe.

The two-day celebrations - 5 and 6 September – the Boulevard Ring will be the center of activities under the "Creative Moscow".

Celebrations of the City Day of Moscow 2015 will be over of the city with the photo exhibition "Triumphal Moscow" which will last until September 13 and will bring together several thematic exhibitions on the main boulevard of the city: Chistoprudny, Gogolevsky, Rozhdestvnsky, Strastnoy and Arbat.
