The draft Museum Center "Hermitage - Moscow" was presented at the VI Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art. According to the head of the program "Hermitage 20/21" Dmitry Ozerkov, the Moscow branch of the museum is a continuation of the major project "Grand Hermitage", aimed at the study and display of contemporary art. The building in the territory of ZiL will be used for exhibitions of the museum and as a venue for festivals.

There will be displayed the works from the store-rooms of the museum (the Hermitage collections contain more than 3 million exhibits, but only a tenth is on display), as well as the works from the special repository. The project "ZILART", which will house the museum, will be put into operation until 2022.

The museum center of the Foundation "Victoria - the art of being contemporary” (VAC) will open a bit earlier, in 2019. It will be located in the territory of GES-2 on Bolotnaya embankment. The building will be reconstructed, there will be glass ceilings and the first floor will be turned into a through space. In addition to exhibitions, it is planned organize there a large educational program. The complex will be able to receive up to 750,000 visitors a year.
