To the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory: The exhibition of works of the M. B. Grekov Studio of war artists in the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint-Petersburg

In the lobby of mezzanine of historic stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg was opened an exhibition of Military Artists of the M. B. Grekov Studio, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The exhibition features 20 paintings by 17 artists of the studio, which depict events of the Battle of Moscow in 1941, the Battle of Stalingrad, the life of the siege of Leningrad, the liberation of Sevastopol in 1944, the long-awaited victory on May in 45. Many Grekov lovers were participants of the Great Patriotic War and reached Berlin.

Especially for this event, martial artists painted canvases depicting the life and work of the artists of the Mariinsky Theatre during the war.

The exhibition will run until October 25, 2015.
