Year of Literature in Russia: "An Alphabet of Russian Poetry" exhibition in Moscow
"An Alphabet of Russian Poetry" exhibition takes place at the Arts and Crafts Museum (Moscow) from the 11th of November to the 4th of December 2015.
The initiative of “An Alphabet of Russian poetry” is aimed at supporting the Russian language, the contemporary domestic fine arts, and on the encouraging a creativity of young artists-designers.
In the format of the exhibition and a release of an exclusive edition, 32 sheet author's drawings in the technique of "ink-n-pen", the creation of which were scheduled to the Year of Literature, are represented for the first time. Talented Moscow artist Vadim Andreyev (1962-2014) has competed graphic series for exhibition.
The project’s idea is simple: to remind that the fine arts and literature are the most important "elementary truths" in the way of comprehension of children and adults of the world and preserving our ability to see, feel and emotionally experience its beauty and diversity.
Graphic part consists of images of nature and animals, fairy tale characters, ethnographic motives, which have associatively aroused at the artist’s imagination during a process of work. To the graphic series of this project, on the basis of possible associations, the organizers have picked up texts and quotes from the classics of Russian poetry, poems for children in order to emphasize the immensity of forms of expression of the eternal themes and images in art.
Facsimile reproduction of the graphic series "ABC" will travel to the show in the regions of Russia, CIS and far-abroad countries from December 2015 to November 2016.
