The Museum of the Russian Abroad will be open in Moscow in 2018, the total area of ​​the building will be 5000 square meters, two-thirds will be allocated for the museum and exhibition space, according the press service of the House of the Russian Abroad.

The Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Abroad (in 1995-2009 - Library Fund "Russian abroad") - the scientific and cultural center of the museum type of preservation, study and promote the history and contemporary life of the Russian diaspora. Earlier, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, speaking at the V World Congress of Compatriots, said that Russia's first museum of Russian abroad thanks to its collections and technical equipment should become one of the best museums in the country.

The exposition of the museum will be formed, while currently the museum collection of the house is 21 thematic, typological and Memorial Collection. "This is mainly paintings, graphics, faleristics, numismatics, decorative arts, bills, posters and documents on the history of Russian abroad", - said the press-service.
