The Presidential Library: New acquisitions

The Presidential Library collection Patriotic Periodicals has been enriched with two magazines - "Murzilka" and "Pioneer". Publications are provided by the Sverdlovsk Regional Library for Children and Youth.

 “Murzilka”

Literary magazine for children of primary school age "Murzilka" releases monthly since May 16, 1924 in Moscow. The magazine is a publication of the Central Committee of the Young Communist League and the Central Council of the Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organization. In 1990-1992 the founders of the magazine were employees of the magazine "Murzilka", "Young Guard" and the International Union of pioneer organizations - the Federation of Children's Organizations "ACT (SDF)" from 1993 - the magazine "Murzilka". Chief editors (at different times): N, I, Smirnov, K. A. Maltsev, F. J. Cohn, N. Vengerov, L. A. Kassil, A. V. Mityaev, V. F. Matveev and others, since 1985 – T. F. Androsenko. Over the years, the magazine published works of S. Y. Marshak, K. I. Chukovsky, M. M. Prishvin, V. V. Lebedev, E. I. Charushin, A. Barto, K. G. Paustovsky E. Uspensky, M. Moskvina, V. Lunin, L. Yakhnin, M. Yasnov and others. The magazine presents columns on art, history of Russia, nature, life, school, leisure, children, etc.; printed stories, novels, poems, stories, essays, plays of domestic and foreign children's writers; published games, puzzles, riddles, puzzles, coloring books, and others. Since 1992 it publishes supplement to the magazine - "a lot of small".     

Today the portal provides issues for 1930-1932, 1934-1937, 1939, 1940, 1942.

 “Pioneer”

Literary and political magazine for the Pioneers and schoolchildren "Pioneer" is being published monthly since March 15, 1924 in Moscow. In 1926 it joined the magazine in the magazine "Drum". The magazine is the authority of the Lenin Central Bureau of the Communist children's groups (1924-1926), the Lenin Central Bureau of the Communist children's organization (1926-1935), the Komsomol Central Committee and the Central Council of the Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organization (1935). Chief Editor: B. A. Ivanter (1933-1938), P. K. Shari (1938-1941), N. V. Ilyin (1941-1971), S. A. Furin (1971-1986), A. S. Moroz (1986). Since 1991 the founder of the magazine is the magazine "Pioneer". On the pages of the magazine in different years were published the works by Z. I. Voskresenskaya, M. P. Prilezhaeva, Y. Y. Yakovlev, A. G. Aleksin, S. Y. Marshak, A. P. Gaidar, L. A. Kassil , B. S. Zhitkov, K. G. Paustovsky, R. I.  Fraerman, V. A. Kaverin, A. L. Barto, V. V. Bianchi, S. V. Mikhalkov, V. P. Krapivin and other children's writers. "Pioneer" had a permanent part of the school and pioneer life, journalism, science and technology, arts, sports, children's art. The magazine organized the work of teams and groups.  

Today the portal provides issues for 1930s.
