Exhibitions: The exposition, dedicated to the story of creation of the monument “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman” in Moscow

December 16, 2015 in the exhibition center “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman” (Moscow) is opened the exhibition “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman. Private case”.

Specials project of the association “Manege” tells of the story of the monument “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman” by Vera Mukhina, Boris Iofan, Georgy Motovilov. This exhibition will be the basis for the permanent exposition, dedicated to the sculptor Vera Mukhina and her legendary monument.

The exhibition brings together archival materials, original pieces of the monument era and personal belongings of Vera Mukhina, the original elements of the inner frame of the monument, the masterpieces of Soviet sculptures of the 1930s, as well as works by contemporary artists: photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, video art.
