The Year of Literature in Russia-2015: The exhibition “The Magic World of Pushkin’s Fairy Tales” in Moscow
As part of the Year of Literature the All-Russian Museum of Decorative-Applied and Folk Arts (Moscow) in collaboration with the State Theatre of Nations and the Institute of Art Education and Culture of the Russian Academy of Education from 11 December 2015 presents the exhibition "The Magic World of Pushkin's Fairy Tales".
The exhibited works of fine arts, crafts, folk and theater art show common ideals, linking visual and literary creation in a variety of forms and at different stages of development - from the traditional arts and crafts, art, the so-called "Russian style" of the XIX - XX centuries to avant-garde and high-tech modern theater.
Visitors will see how the poet's tales come to life in the imagination of artists who work with glass, ceramics, bone, wood, metal and stone, the technique of lacquer miniature. An important part of the exhibition is a multimedia component: an animated presentation format will be a unique collection of children's drawings (as historic, the first half of the XX century and contemporary), depicting the favorite subjects of works of A. S. Pushkin.
