Memorable dates of Russia: The exhibition “Osip Mandelstam. The Noise of Time. To the 125th anniversary of the poet’s birth” in Saint-Petersburg

The exhibition “Osip Mandelstam. The Noise of Time. To the 125^th anniversary of the poet’s birth” is opened on January 2016 in the Anna Akhmatova Museum at Fountain House (Saint-Petersburg).  The exhibition features materials from the museum collection.

Osip Mandelstam (1891-1938) – one of the key figures of culture of the XX century, its very special and original poetic voice.

Audio- and video installations include materials of the artist Gregory Kaznelson to the exhibition “Library of dead poets”, as well as the voice of Osip Mandelstam, who reads his poems.

The centerpiece of the exhibition – is the wooden chair, which accompanied Osip Mandelstam since his childhood and repeatedly mentioned in the book “The Noise of Time”.

The exhibition also features books and photographs of the poet from museum collection.
