International events: Olympiad for British schoolchildren within the framework of the Year of languages of Russia and Great Britain to be dedicated to Pushkin
      The Olympiad among British schoolchildren, which will be held in the framework of the Year of languages of Russia and Great Britain will be devoted of Pushkin; in Russia the Olympiad for schoolchildren will include works of Shakespeare, reported the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
"In Britain, the Olympiad will be held, dedicated to Pushkin, in Russia the tasks, devoted to the work of Shakespeare, will be included in the All-Russian Olympiad", - said in a statement.
According to the ministry, all within the framework of the Russian-British cross-Language Year will be held more than 40 events, including the presentation of the Internet portal "Education in Russian" and the mobile version of the "House of the Russian language", competition of readers in Russian on the Internet, as well as exhibitions, festivals, conferences, round tables.
The official opening of the Year of Russian language and literature in the United Kingdom is scheduled for February 25. This day will be a concert of violinist Vladimir Repin in a famous Concert Hall Royal Festival Hall. The concert will be unique – this is a unique representation of the new scores for silent film in 1927 for "Anna Karenina", the main role in which performed Greta Garbo. The event will be attended by members of the British royal family.
