Internet and history: Interactive map of the routes of A. S. Pushkin on the Pskov land

1 February 2016

Every year in February in Russia are held the days of the memory of Alexander Pushkin. The Pskov Regional Universal Scientific Library prepared a map of places of the Pskov region, associated with the name of the poet, which can be seen in the virtual library project "Literary map of the Pskov region".

As an information support for tourists and interested users in 2015 the library has developed a web project "Literary map of the Pskov region", which is not a traditional educational resource and a map of literary tourist routes associated with the names of writers who visited the Pskov land or wrote about it.

The highlight of February will be the Pushkin Theatre Festival, held annually in Pskov and Pushkin Mountains, which invariably attracts attention, prompting the library to conduct research and highlighting the section devoted to Pushkin places. The map shows that Pushkin is not only in Pskov and Pushkin, and then the Holy Mountain, but also with relatives and friends, passing through county-level cities and postal stations.
