Internet and culture: The best museums, libraries and places of interest got on “Cultural Map of Russia” on the Web

March 25, in the Day of Cultural Worker, in the official community portal «Культура.РФ»  VKontakte was published "Cultural Map of Russia".

Now, the social network users can quickly find information on community of cultural institutions and attractions of any region of the country. At the moment in the catalog are listed data on more than 700 "cultural points" of Russia.

"Cultural Map" will receive the maximum amount of information about the cultural life of the region or plan a trip to the Russian Federation - it is enough to subscribe to interesting pages.

This is not the first joint project of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the network VKontakte. In 2015, a special category of "Culture and Art" was created under the recommended community social network. Today there are more than 200 most popular communities of the country's cultural institutions with unique content. The selection of communities in the social networking category is carried out by specialists. The main criterion is quality publications. It helps meeting the high requirements of the project "Single Information Space in the sphere of culture". It involves more than 11,500 cultural institutions.
