Society and culture: The Days of historical and cultural heritage in Moscow

April 17 and May 21, 2016 in Moscow will take place Days of the historical and cultural heritage.

Celebration of Days of the historical and cultural heritage of Moscow is timed to the International Day of Protection of Monuments (18 April), and the International Museum Day (18 May). For the convenience of the citizens the main events are held on the third Sunday of April and the third Saturday of May - 17 April and 21 May respectively.

Day of historical and cultural heritage - the action of the Moscow Government, aimed at drawing attention to the issue of preservation of cultural heritage, promotion of the architectural monuments of Moscow, the realization of the possibility of visiting the monuments, the famous capital of mansions, palaces - historic buildings, closed to ordinary days. Among the main architectural attractions of the capital, opens its doors in those days - Mayor of Moscow, the Petrovsky Palace, the Russian State Library, the Pashkov House, mansions and manor houses, designed by the greatest architects of the XVIII-XIX centuries.
