
The Presidential Library: New acquisitions
Presidential Library collection has been enriched with videos provided by the M. Y. Lermontov Penza Regional Library and creative associations "Cinematographer" and "Alanofilm".
Documentary is dedicated to the spiritual and cultural life of North Ossetia and the Penza region, as well as outstanding individuals who left a trace in the history of the regions.
North Ossetia (Alania)
In the film, Alani. The New Testament (61 min. 06 sec.) is described the history of the origin of Orthodoxy on the territory of Alania. The filmmakers are trying to answer the question of what kind of faith is native to the Ossetian people.
Mountain Jordan Film (21 min. 40 sec.) is dedicated to the sacrament of baptism. The film tells about the unique phenomena in the Epiphany holiday in a mountain gorge in North Ossetia, where alpine river Fiagdon becomes "Jordan" for tens of thousands of faithful.
The film Christian way. Film 1: Warriors of Christ (52 min. 07 sec.) describes the everyday life of Alania Holy Dormition Monastery and novices.
The film Game of imagination. Gaito Gazdanov (63 min. 24 sec.) is dedicated to the life and work of an outstanding writer, philosopher and writer of the XX century, Ossetian origin Gaito Ivanovich Gazdanov. The film is based on true facts, evidence and archival documents.
The Penza region
The film Penza residents in the history of Russia. Pyotr Durnovo (10 min. 04 sec.) is dedicated to statesman of the Russian Empire, the Minister of Internal Affairs (1905-1906) Pyotr Durnovo, whose ashes rest in the village of Treskinoof the Kolyshleysky District of the Penza region.
In film Penza residents in the history of Russia. Alexander Suvorov (8 min. 15 sec.) is told the story of the Great Russian commander and how it relates to the Penza region.

Vasily Glazunov (5 min. 48 sec.) is dedicated to the Soviet military figure, the first commander of the Airborne Troops, Lieutenant-General (1944), twice Hero of the Soviet Union (1944, 1945), a native of the village Varvarovka (now the Kolyshleysky District of the Penza region) Basil Afanasievich Glazunov.

Alex Turishchev (12 min. 21 sec.) describes the Russian musician, a graduate of the 12th Astrakhan Grenadier Regiment, author of music, march song "The enemy does not surrender our proud "Varyag", bandmaster of the 177th Izborsk infantry regiment in Penza (since January 1918 – the Penza Soviet regiment), member of the First World War and the Civil War, teacher, head teacher and director of the Penza music College (1918-1957) Alexei Sergeevich Turishchev.
