The Presidential Library: New acquisitions

The Presidential Library collection has been enriched with the materials provided by the State Public Historical Library and the Moscow Regional State Scientific Library.

New acquisitions include works by historians of law and state specialist I. I. Dityatin and A. D. Gradovsky.

- Dityatin Ivan Ivanovich (1847-1892)

The work by I. I. Dityatin "Design and management of cities of Russia" dedicated to the history of social and urban management in Russia from the XVIII century until 1870. In the first volume, "Introduction; Cities of Russia in XVIII century" (St.-P. 1875) is presented the sketch of the history of origin of municipal government in Western Europe, it is considered the city to the Magistrates of Russian institutions and Russian cities after the death of Peter the Great to 1785, it is characterized by Letters patent cities in 1785.

In the second volume "Municipal government in current century" (Yaroslavl, 1877) is presented the outline of the development of the municipal system of some countries of Western Europe in the XVIII century (France, Belgium, Prussia), describing the urban self-government on the basis of the provisions of a policeman in 1785, a new policeman position (1846) of St. Petersburg and the application of it to Moscow and Odessa; it is also presented a sketch of Tiflis public administration.

- Gradovsky Alexander Dmitrievich (1841-1889)

In "Collected Works of A. D. Gradovsky" (St. P., 1899-1908) are included all of his major works, including such important research in the field of Russian statehood as the "High Authority of Russia of the XVIII century and the Governor-General", "State order Ancient Russia", "The history of local government in Russia", "Between Robespierre and Bonaparte", "State law major European powers" , "Review of public institutions", "The National question in Russia", "Slavic question and the war in 1877",  "Polish question", "On the power of the Supreme", "History of the Senate", "Organization of individual ministries" and others.
