To the 75th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War: Exhibition of Veliky Novgorod

June 21, 2016 in the Novgorod Regional Universal Scientific Library in the framework of the evening devoted to the 75th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War, took place the opening of a book exhibition "In the forty-first, forty-woeful year", which will work in the reading room of the library 28 of July. Getting acquainted with the exhibition, which presents more than 150 sources, including video, visitors will pass by 1941 - from "before the war" with photographs from personal archives, very important to the success of the Soviet troops in the Battle of Moscow.

Exhibition opens a new fundamental work "The Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945" in 12 volumes.

The exhibition presents new books. A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to the events that took place in July 1941, when the war spread to the territory of the Novgorod region.

At the heart of the historic center of the D. M. Balashov Novgorod city library is located the book-illustrative exhibition "the war has sad day early…" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the tragic date in our country - the Great Patriotic War.

For the exhibition are chosen books and magazines, illustrative material.

One of the sections of the exhibition is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of I. D. Chernyakhovsky, which is celebrated on 29 June.

Another section of the exhibition is devoted to the memorable date in Russia - Day of partisans and underground fighters, which is celebrated on June 29, starting in 2010. This day was a tribute of deep respect for the life and deeds of people, due to which Homeland was liberated in 1945.

The exhibition runs from 22 June until the end of July.
