World history and culture: Simferopol treasure to be presented in the new museum on the Kulikovo Field

The authors of the new exposition "The Legend of Mamay". The new reading", which will be open in September of on the Kulikovo Field (the Tula region) will try to dispel some myths about the Golden Horde. The famous Simferopol treasure will help them.

The new museum dedicated to the Battle of Kulikovo, will attempt to talk about the modern vision devices of the Golden Horde and its role in the history of our country.

The new exposition "The Legend of Mamay. The new reading" designs section on the relationship between Moscow and the Mamay Horde in the age of the battle of Kulikovo. The interactive virtual ZD-showcase presents in detail Simferopol treasure stored in the State Historical Museum in Moscow.

Unique find was discovered in the mid 60s of the last century, during the construction works near the city of Simferopol, which gave the name of the treasure. Discovered objects belonged to the family of a wealthy aristocrat Horde. They were buried in the ground in the second half of the XIV century, when the Golden Horde did not experience the best of times.

According to the authors of the exhibition, treasure items perfectly characterize the Golden Horde as a state with a developed economy and culture. Introduction to Simferopol treasure and study some of its subjects, in the opinion of the authors of a new exhibition about the Battle of Kulikovo, can change our stereotypes of the Golden Horde.
