Regions of Russia: "A Distinctive Art of the Tver Land" exhibition in Veliky Novgorod

Starting from June 10, 2016, the Novgorod Regional House of Folk Art presents an exhibition from the collections of the Museum and Exhibition Center of the Tver Oblast House of Folk Arts and Crafts entitled "A Distinctive Art of the Tver Land."

The exhibition is timed to the 80th anniversary of the Tver Oblast House of Folk Arts and Crafts and takes place within the framework of the "Sadko" XV International Festival of Folk Arts and Crafts.

The exhibition is held to promote the Tver artistic crafts, the activities of the Tver Oblast House of Folk Arts and Crafts on the preservation and development of traditional arts and crafts.

The art show features more than 100 exhibits from the collections of the museum and the exhibition center of the Tver Oblast House of Folk Arts and Crafts. Visitors will get a chance to see a traditional Tver costume, a carving and a painting on wood, art worked birch bark, clay toys, studio pottery, traditional textile doll, patchwork sewing, artistic weaving, embroidery and more.

The Tver Regional House of Folk Arts and Crafts has been carrying out "A Distinctive Art of the Tver Land" exhibition project for 14 years and has exhibited its funds at the various showing venues in the Belgorod Oblast, in Moscow, Vladimir, Tver and the municipalities of the Tver Oblast.

The exhibition will go on until August 12, 2016.
