The Presidential Library: New acquisitions
On the day of 217th anniversary of Pushkin's collection of the same name of the Presidential Library has been enriched with the work of Elena Vladimirovna Shipitsova, Moscow graphic artist, member of the Union of Artists of Russia, member of the Russian Union of Journalists. Elena Vladimirovna is known for her illustrations for the works of Pushkin and Pushkin's work on the subject, which are made in the style of pen drawings of the poet.
In the section of the collection Images of Pushkin and men of his circle was included the work of the artist, depicting of his life the poet and scenes: Portrait (2013), Inspiration (2003), Conversation with the Muse (2012). Of interest are the works of the author devoted to family members of Alexander. These are drawings depicting the uncle of Alexander Pushkin, a famous poet Vasily Pushkin, scenes from his life and illustrations to his works: Nephew visiting Uncle (2013), V. L. Pushkin. To Pushkin's poem (2013); as well as 11 images of N. N. Pushkina (Goncharova) and imaginary scenes of family life of the poet. Missed. Way to Black River (2012), The Pushkins, Moscow, Arbat (2012). In addition, the section contains an image of the poet's contemporaries and domestic scenes of the first half of the XIX century: Nicholas 1st: "I myself will be your censor…" (2012); Alexander Pushkin and Metropolitan Filaret (2012); In the English Club (1991).
Graphics by E. V. Shipitsova significantly expanded the section Illustrations to the works of the poet. They include illustrations of the lyrical works of Pushkin: A. S. Pushkin, foreign inexperienced lover of lands (2013), A. S. Pushkin, Last flowers are more luxurious than firstborn fields (2011); to the poem: Prisoner of the Caucasus By Alexander Pushkin (1992), Ruslan and Lyudmila (2011). Particularly noteworthy are the illustrations of "Eugene Onegin" novel: Letter of Onegin to Tatiana (2011); A. S. Pushkin, Eugene Onegin, Tatiana's Dream (2011).
The preparation of new materials for the collection will be continued.
