Exhibitions: The exhibition of cinema posters was opened at the Perm Art Gallery

July 12 at the Perm Art Gallery was opened an exhibition "The world of cinema in the poster". The first gallery features more than 50 film posters from the collection. The reason for the creation of the exhibition was the gift of the Perm Cinematheque - in 2016 in the collection of the gallery has received more than 100 film posters of 1970 - 2010s.

The exhibition presents a retrospective of a cinema poster as an artistic phenomenon. The most interesting galleries in the collection are posters of several periods: the 1920s, 1970s and the post-Soviet era.

In 1920s the cinema poster was in the forefront of the artistic life of the country. It combined mass cinema and elitist art language. Among the most interesting works can be identified the poster by Nikolai Prusakov for the film by Ivan Pyrev "Foreign woman".

A high level of professional skills and a variety of handwriting feature posters of the seventies. At the collection of the Perm central works of this period there are posters for films Yuri Pimenov "Mothers and Daughters" by Sergei Gerasimov and "Romance for Lovers" by Andrei Konchalovsky.

A special part of the exhibition composes posters for animated films. Among the most striking - Alexander Kachugin poster for the film "Blue Puppy" and the work of an outstanding artist and director Yuri Norstein.

The exhibits will allow for fresh to look at well-known films and discover the cinema-poster as a special kind of art with its own language.

The exhibition will run until August 21.
