Libraries and society: Personal libraries of Moscow to tell about famous people
In the Russian capital until the end of this year will appear seventy-seven libraries that will carry the names of famous figures of culture and science. They will store rare books devoted to Ivan Krylov, Yuri Gagarin, Vladimir Korolenko, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and other prominent personalities.
The purpose of the project - to provide everyone with information about the person whose name is called the Reading Room. There will be kept rare books devoted to the author or the person. Also in such libraries it is planned to hold exhibitions, guided tours and other educational activities.
The example of such works is "Gogol House". It is expected that one of the boulevards in the center of Moscow will be divided into five areas-towns. Each of them will be dedicated to one of the arts: music, theater, cinema and art. Another city will be given to children. Each of them will have its own program. Playground is located on Nikitsky Boulevard. Here is the house-museum of the Great Russian writer Nikolai Gogol. In the yard of the house in 1952 was set a monument by sculptor N. Tomsky and architect L. Golubovsky.
Currently it is developing a regulation of memorial library activities. It is planned that they will work on a chart.
