Memory of Russia: The exhibition project “Faces of the Gone Time” in Kolomenskoye
The exhibition project "Faces of the Gone Time" is presented in the St. George Church in Kolomenskoye (Moscow) until 30 October 2016.
The exhibition project "Faces of the Gone Time" - a joint creative work of Moscow artist Vadim Stashkevich and the Museum Reserve to find the area of contact with the lost traditions of the different types of art.
On account of the Moscow artist there is more than twenty solo exhibitions in public and private museums and galleries in different cities of Russia and abroad. His works have received numerous awards and diplomas. In 2011, by the decision of the Moscow branch of UNESCO the works by V. Stashkevich recognized subject of national wealth and the prestige of the state.
His works are devoted to the Neolithic period, ancient monuments of stone architecture of Russia, rare archaeological information about the cultures of Eastern Europe, as well as the myths, legends and stories that have been collected by the artist during expeditions and drawn in ancient literary works.
The exhibition includes original items from MGOMZ meeting: tiles, white stone items, as well as art objects and paintings of the artist, which thematically and stylistically date back to the Middle Ages.
The exhibition project - is another reminder of our contemporaries on Russian decorative and applied arts and regional traditions.
