Holidays in Russia: The decree to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Nikolai Nekrasov in 2021 is signed

President of Russia Vladimir Putin ordered at the state level to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of the poet Nikolai Nekrasov (1821-1878).

According to the decree, published on the official website of the Kremlin, the government of Russia was instructed "to form an organizing committee for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Nekrasov and approve its composition". The Cabinet of Ministers should also "ensure the development and approval of a plan of basic events".

The President recommended the heads of the regions to take part in the preparation and celebration of the anniversary of Nekrasov.
