Memory of Russia: The monument to war cinema cameramen to appear in Moscow

Monument to war cameramen may appear in Moscow. The application was made by the representatives of the Russian military-historical society. Installation is timed to the 75th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War and the Battle of Moscow. 

The press service RVIO noted: "We know of more than 250 frontline cameramen, who during the war filmed newsreel at the forefront. We have initiated the installation of the monument in Moscow near the House of Cinema. It would be a logical solution".

The Commission on monumental art will consider the installation of a monument at the next meeting. It will take approximately July 14. Presumably, the same fate of the monument to the writer Mikhail Bulgakov will be solved. Also on the Poklonnaya Hill, you may receive a 16-meter high stele Cities of Military Glory.

Even in the capital may appear commemorative sculpture in honor of the famous small arms designer Mikhail Kalashnikov, policy maker Yevgeny Primakov and writer Boris Pasternak. In addition, four projects of monuments dedicated to the Moscow militia divisions in 1941 will be prepared before the end of the year.
