Russian culture abroad: The World Forum of Compatriots “In unity with Russia” is held in Moscow

28-29 August 2016 in Moscow at the initiative of the fund "Russian World" is held the World Forum "In unity with Russia". It was attended by our compatriots - Russian citizens living abroad, in total more than 350 people from 97 countries.

The forum covers the implementation of the rights and freedoms of Russian citizens living abroad, the possibility of their participation in important matters of internal political life of Russia.

On discussion sites of the forum its participants are discussing with representatives of the Russian executive authorities and the deputies the issues of information interaction of the Russian media and humanitarian cooperation of compatriots' organizations, promoting programs to study Russian language abroad, popularization of Russian culture abroad, educational programs for Russian-speaking youth and possibilities of youth exchanges and et al. One of the topics of the meeting is participation of citizens of Russia living abroad in Russian elections.

The forum is attended by Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, heads of federal legislative and executive bodies, well-known politicians and public figures, journalists, scientists, priests.
