
The Presidential Library: New acquisitions
The Presidential Library stock was enlarged with the materials of the Tyumen Regional Scientific Library and the Penza Regional Library dedicated to the history of the Ural Oblast in the 1920-1930s years and the Penza Oblast on the XIX - the early XX centuries.
The reports, presented at the III session of the Ural Oblast Executive Committee of the Soviets of Workers, Peasants and Red Army Deputies on the 30th of June - the 2nd of July 1924 (Yekaterinburg, 1924), were focused on the following themes: a single agricultural tax; state of the trade and harvest off-load; the implementation of local budget of the current year, the principles of drawing up the economic plan and the local budget for 1924-1925 years; the state insurance campaigns; grassroots Soviet organization, and others.
Materials and resolutions of the regional meeting of the CPSU(B), (January 28-31, 1926) (Sverdlovsk, 1926) are dedicated to the work of the factory and the village Party cells and the questions of in-depth alignment of Party committees.
The Ural after Regionalization selection (Sverdlovsk, 1926) sums up preliminary results of the economic development of the region in the new conditions for the two-year period (December 1923 - December 1925). The edition has an enclosure in the form of maps and cartograms of the area.
A material for the second year of work of the land agencies in the conditions of regionalization of the oblast is collected in the Ural Regional Land Management Report for 1924-1925 years (Sverdlovsk, 1926). The submitted material allows more in-depth analysis of the state of the agricultural and forestry sectors in the oblast.
The overall representation of all branches of the economy during this period, discovered circumstantial connections, changes in the economy and market fluctuations are shown in the Conjuncture Review of the Economy of the Ural in 1926-1927 (Sverdlovsk, 1928). Current departmental reportage and data of the Ural Bureau of Statistics were used in the preparation of the review.
Economic and ethnographic essay of V. V. Vasilyev entitled the Demyanka River (Tobolsk, 1929) includes not only typical reconnaissance survey of the area, but the author’s practical knowledge of this region.
A brochure of E. Okulova On a Work of the Traveling Libraries with the Mass Reader (Tyumen, 1923) describes the direction of the work of peredvizhkas - movable libraries, their acquisition, working methods of the librarians-itinerants (a familiarity with a reader, an approach to work, work with the newspapers, brochures, fiction), the links of the itinerants’ work with other types of political outreach activities.
A book of D. Y. Murashov Penza Local Decembrists: Debatable on Doubtless (Penza, 2015) tells about the participation Penza local residents in the first in Russia organized political action against the autocratic rule and serfdom.
At the beginning of the movie century: the movies in the Penza Krai (Penza, 2009) publication of O. V. Sirotin collects the essays on the history cinematograph of the Penza land from the end of the XIX to the early XX centuries, compiled on the basis of archival documents, newspaper publications of different years, memoirs, popular literature and reference books.
A book of O. V. Sirotin A Double Star: Alexander and Ivan Mozzhukhins (Penza, 2014) is dedicated to the biographies of two outstanding Russian artists, opera and chamber singer Alexander Mozzhukhin and a movie actor Ivan Mozzhukhin. The biographies compiled on the documentary basis with a use of the archive materials, book publications and periodicals.
