Internet and the regions of Russia: “The Literary Walks in the Komi Republic” local history Internet resource is out

New local lore Internet resource named the Literary Walks in the Komi Republicwas presented at the National Library of the Komi Republic (Syktyvkar city). Any user can now take a virtual tour of memorable places associated with the work of poets and writers of the region. The project was created on the 95th anniversary of the republic.

Web developers focused in this project on the youth audience, so all the information about the objects along the routes a user receives in a playful way.

Website visitor without registration, after getting acquainted with the rules starts moving around the map, where he needs only to click on a certain points and perform tasks.

There are 55 objects overall - the monuments, memorial plaques, buildings associated with the life and creative work of the litterateur of the republic, such as Ivan Kuratov, Nikolay Dyakonov, Callistrat Zhakov, Vasily Lytkin. Detailed historical inquiry with a photograph is attached to each stop of the travel. The questions, crosswords or a word search are among the tasks, some queries contain audio files.

In addition to its own, for a search and a selection of materials the library used the resources of Literary-Memorial Museum named after I. Kuratov, the Museum of History and Awareness-raising Work of Komi region and the Ezhva Central library.

“The literary Walks” does not end on the Syktyvkar. By December the routes throughout the entire country will be available.
