Museums of Russia: Two new exhibitions of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve were opened in Tsaritsyno

Within the project "Museum tour" started working two new banner exhibitions of the Novgorod Museum Reserve in the State Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno" (Moscow) in the park.

The exhibition "Reborn frescoes of Novgorod churches" tells about the unique technologies of restoration of ancient monumental painting, shows fragments of copies of frescoes and compositions of famous monuments of the Church of the Transfiguration on Kovalev, Volotovo Church and others.

The exhibition "Veliky Novgorod - reserve of ancient architecture" allows you to learn about the history and characteristics of the main monuments of Veliky Novgorod and the surrounding area as a part of the Novgorod Museum Reserve.

And in August, in "Tsaritsyno" was opened the exhibition of masterpieces of ancient art, which depicts the image of the Virgin. This is the first large-scale exhibition from the collection of the Novgorod Museum outside the permanent storage space in recent years. Some of the exhibits have been specially restored in the museum workshops.
