To the Day of Knowledge: Libraries of Moscow to hold the action “First class reader”

September 1, 2016, on the Day of Knowledge, Moscow Libraries hold an action "First class reader" for the youngest school children. The action involves 55 schools and 90 first classes. Such a large-scale campaign is held by libraries in Moscow for the first time.

Librarians will hold for 2500 pupils an interactive lesson with game elements, master classes and creative tasks, dedicated to the book, reading and familiarity with the library. The purpose of the action - to develop children's interest in books and reading, to introduce the possibilities of public libraries, and present it as an interesting and useful place for self-development.

Schoolchildren are waiting for literary puzzles, quizzes and stories about the wonderful world of books. Children learn about the world's smallest books, the book "working" with the help of electricity and compressed air, the paper book, which has access to the Internet and many others.
