World culture: Valuable Arab and Turkic manuscripts from the collections of major research libraries of Moscow are on display in the capital
October 18, 2016 in the exhibition hall of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque was opened the exhibition "Spiritual Heritage of Moscow's Muslim community: Ageev imams".
The exhibition presents valuable Arabic and Turkish manuscripts, now stored in the collections of major research libraries in Moscow. The manuscripts belonged to the famous Ageev family, who during XIX - early XX centuries were the spiritual leader of Muslims in Moscow. Now this collection is stored in the collections of major research libraries in Moscow.
The exhibition also presents birth books of Moscow mosque in Tatar alley (1836-1840) and Moscow Mosque in Vypolzov alley (1911-1913) stored in the Central State Archive in Moscow.
The exhibition will be open until November 11, 2016.
