
Memorable dates of Russia: Festival "Tsarskoye Selo autumn" to the 205th anniversary of the founding of the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum is held in St. Petersburg
From 15 to 19 October 2016 the National Pushkin Museum (St. Petersburg) is holding the International Lyceum Festival "Tsarskoye Selo autumn".
Each year, October 19 is the day of the opening of the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, a unique educational institution, brought up by Alexander Pushkin, William Kuchelbecker, Anton Delvig, Alexander Gorchakov, Jacob Groth, Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin and many other prominent figures of Russia.
On the eve of the holiday Lyceum the National Pushkin Museum traditionally hosts the International Festival "Tsarskoye Selo autumn", which collects under the roof of the famous educational institutions of culture and art, the descendants of Pushkin and his fellow high school students first (Pushkin) release, coming from around the world. The festival contributes to the revival of interest in Russian poetry, literature, art, involves in its orbit, a large number of spectators and participants, especially young people, it brings together all those who are near and dear Lyceum motto: "For the common good!".
