Exhibitions: The exposition "Current Russian: habitat" was opened at the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia
Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Current Russian: habitat" in the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia.
The head of the Ministry of Culture of Russia said that the exhibition is held in the recently renovated museum premises where once the English club was located. The minister said that in the near future it is planned to complete the full range of activities in the building and make it one of the most respectable and interesting exhibition sites of the capital. It is also planned to put in order the inner courtyard of the museum.
In addition, the museum has also received the building on the Sadovnicheskaya Street, where the apartment of Krzhizhanovsky is located. Vladimir Medinsky said that there would house the fund storage and office space for museum staff. "It will allow more efficient use of the building of the English club", - said the Minister.
The exhibition "Current Russian: habitat" presents works by over 60 artists, including new works by famous contemporary artists from the collections of museums and private collections. Among them - the work of Sergei Geta, Alexander Dashevskiy, Rinat Voligamsi, Igor Pestov, Paul Pepperstein, Azat Basyrov, Ustina Yakovleva.
