Memorable dates of Russia: Meeting of the organizing committee for the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the city of Suzdal

In Moscow, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Russia Olga Golodets took place a meeting of the Organizing Committee on preparation and holding the 1000th anniversary of the city of Suzdal, which will be celebrated in 2024.

Participants discussed the concept of Suzdal and the tourism potential of the city. Governor of the Vladimir region Svetlana Orlova noted that one of the main principles of the concept - the preservation of the historical value of Suzdal. "Volumetric construction there should not be carried out", - she said. In addition, the Governor announced that by order of the Ministry of Culture of Russia it is developed the project documentation for attribution of the territory of the State Vladimir-Suzdal Museum to an object of cultural heritage in the form of attractions and projects of the Kremlin ensemble protection zone.

Also, the organizing committee participants discussed a number of proposals for inclusion in the anniversary celebration plan. In particular, it is expected that there will be made a film dedicated to Suzdal.
