World History and Culture: The unique layout of the Athos monasteries are presented in Thessaloniki

Unique layouts of Athos monasteries in miniature were presented at the exhibition in Thessaloniki (Greece).

Presented models - exact copies of all 20 monasteries of Mount Athos. The exhibition is unique in the fact that here for the first time in one place are open all the models of the monasteries of Mount Athos.

Through this exhibition, all those who are not able to visit the Holy Mountain (in particular women who are denied entrance to Mount Athos), will have a unique opportunity to see the Athos monasteries in miniature and join the spiritual heritage, history and architecture of Mount Athos.

The models were made with the support of sponsors from Russia on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of Russian monastic presence on Mount Athos. Among them there is Russian layout on Mount Athos of the St. Panteleimon Monastery.
