Memory Russia: The exhibition of paintings and drawings, devoted to the Day of the soldier-internationalist, in Moscow
Paintings and graphic art works are on display by Alexei Chikishev dedicated to the Day of soldier-internationalist (celebrated on February 15), which opened at the Association "Photo Center" (Moscow).
A. V. Chikishev was born in 1961 in the Moscow region. He graduated from the Military Institute of Foreign Languages. He was in Afghanistan in 1982-1985. Until 1992 he served in the Soviet Army. He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner, the Order of the Red Star and other awards.
The exposition presents more than 50 works, most of which are devoted to the Afghanistan subject. "Peacetime" is also reflected in the author's collection.
Works by Alexei Chikishev are exhibited in the Central House of Artists, the Manezh, the Central House of Writers and other well-known showrooms. Some of the works are acquired by private collectors from the United States, Germany and France.
The exhibition is organized under the auspices of the Union of Veterans of the Military Institute of Foreign Languages.
