Society and Culture: The International Conference "Personality and Creativity of A. I. Solzhenitsyn in Modern Art and Literature" in Moscow

March 15-17, 2017 the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the State Institute of Art Studies, the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad, the Russian public foundation of Alexander Solzhenitsyn conduct in Moscow the International Scientific Conference "Personality and Creativity of A. I. Solzhenitsyn in Contemporary Art and Literature", dedicated to the writer's 100th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2018.

Within the framework of the conference on March 16, the exhibition "Solzhenitsyn-Photographer" will be open at the Institute of Art Studies in Kozitskiy Lane. The photographs taken by Solzhenitsyn, are not the most famous part of the writer's creative legacy, although they were shown at exhibitions. But they are rarely presented separately. The pictures, taken by Alexander Isaevich, are not so many. The exhibition will feature modern prints of 35 photographs taken by the writer in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
