History of Russia: The exhibition, "I have the honor to serve you, Russia!", dedicated to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, in Veliky Novgorod

From 13 to 27 February 2017 in the reading room of the Novgorod Regional Universal Scientific Library runs an exhibition "I have the honor to serve you, Russia!", dedicated to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland.

The exhibition presents literature on the history of Russian military affairs, military traditions and rituals. Several books are devoted to the art of war "Not the number but the skill. The military system of A. V. Suvorov" (M., 2001), "The comprehension of the art of war. The ideological legacy of A. Svechin" (M., 1999) and T. A. Smirnov "Basics of Military Service" (Moscow, 2004).

The interesting part of the exhibition are: "Calendar of memorable dates of the Russian military history" (St. Petersburg, 1999), which displays the most important dates of the military history of our country and the information collection "Anniversaries of the Novgorod region" (Veliky Novgorod, 2014) containing information on the anniversaries of the Novgorod region, and the days of celebration of famous Novgorod citizens.

The final section of the exhibition is completely dedicated to the history of the unique military equipment: from the first small arms to modern artillery.
