Internet and Society: Online cinema festival of Russian cinema "Double Two@" is being opened for the eighth season

April 3, 2017 on the website of the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" starts the VIII online festival of Russian cinema and the theater "Double Two@". All films and performances of the competitive and non-competitive programs are available for free.

"Double Two@" is the first online cinema festival in Russia, its task is to help high-quality films of domestic production reach the mass audience. Thus, the films receive a second premiere - on the Internet. The site of the festival will be the site of its organizer - "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".

All the films of the festival's competitive program are available for viewing anywhere in the world for free. Within 12 days, the audience will be able to not only watch the pictures, but also to vote to determine future laureates of the festival, as well as to express their opinion about the films, writing their reviews at the forum of the festival. The authors of the best reviews will also be the winners of "Double Two@".

The professional jury of the main competition was headed by the director Alexander Mitta, including directors Oksana Karas, Alexander Kott, actress Julia Aug and deputy editor-in-chief of the Rossiyskaya Gazeta Yadviga Yuferova. The Junior Jury of the VGIK will evaluate the short competition program.

This year there are 15 films in the festival program. The nomination "The Full Meter" will feature the tapes "Trip to the Mother" (Mikhail Kosyrev-Nesterov), "My Killer" (Costas Marsan), "Orleans" (Andrey Proshkin), "Angels of the Revolution" (Alexei Fedorchenko), "Monk and Devil" (Vera Storozheva), "The house is rented with all the inconveniences" (Vera Storozheva), as well as three debut films: "Box" (Eduard Bordukov), "Tali and Tolya" (Alexander Amirov) and "The Cloth Union" (Mikhail Dostal).

In the category "Short Meter" the viewers will see the debut paintings by Arthur Sukhonin "Cradle" and Valery Pereverzev "Panopticon". The films "Who Needs It" (Vladimir Nepevniy), "The Witch" (Vera Vodynski), "Fake" (Ivan Kitaev) and "Closer Than It Seems" (Natalia Belyauskiene) will be presented here.

Out of the competition, the film "Protection" (Alexander Proshkin) and two theatrical performances in the recording: "Zoykina apartment" by Mikhail Bulgakov staged by Vladimir Pankov and "Ordinary Miracle" by Evgeny Shvarts and Gennady Gladkov in the direction of Ivan Popovsky and Alexei Ivashchenko will be also shown.

Let us remind, the idea to organize an online festival of Russian cinema "Double Two@" belongs to the observer of the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" Valery Kichin. The first contest was held in 2011. For eight years of its existence, viewers saw more than 120 high-quality domestic art, documentary and animation films, about 3500 reviews were written. Alla Surikova, Alexander Mitta, Sergey Solovyov, Vladimir Khotinenko, Victor Dement, Alexander Karpilovsky, Natalia Belyauskiene, Alexander Kott, Ivan I. Tverdovsky, creative tandems Inna Churikova - Gleb Panfilov, Vera Alentova - Vladimir Menshov and many others became winners of the festival in different years and others.
