President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree "On the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the Novodevichy Convent (Moscow)".

The decree was signed in connection with the 500th anniversary of the Novodevichy Convent, which is being performed in 2024, in Moscow.

The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to form an organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the Novodevichy Convent and to approve its composition; to ensure the development and approval of a plan for the main activities for the preparation and the conduct of the celebration.

The state authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation are recommended to take part in the preparation and celebration of the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the Novodevichy Convent.
