History of Russia: The exhibition "Frontline friends" in Surgut

The structural unit of the Surgut Museum of Local History "Center for Patriotic Heritage" invites to the exhibition "Frontline friends".

The exhibition reveals the role of women during the Great Patriotic War. Women not only provided the Red Army with a reliable rear, but also worked in hospitals, served in communications, road, anti-aircraft, combat aviation, partisan detachments, underground…Their activities were an unfailing example of mass female heroism in the world history.

The exhibition, based on the materials of the Military Glory Museum of the Surgut public organization “Frontline friends”, presents unique photographs and documents to visitors and tells about the invaluable contribution of women to the victory over fascism, their heroism and courage in the struggle for the Great Victory.
