Memorable dates of Russia: The exhibition "On the southern borders of Stalingrad", timed to the 75th anniversary of the start of the Battle of Stalingrad

July 17, 2017 in the Museum-Reserve "Staraya Sarepta" (Volgograd) will be held the grand opening of the exhibition "On the southern borders of Stalingrad", timed to the 75th anniversary of the start of the Battle of Stalingrad.

The new exposition tells about the events that took place on the southern borders of Stalingrad, both on the defensive stage and after the beginning of the counteroffensive. The exposition will acquaint you with the chronology of military operations and biographies of military commanders who defended the city on the Volga.

Visitors will be able to see unique exhibits from the museum's collections and private collections, among which items of soldier's life, uniform and samples of weapons of the opposing sides are. Plunging into the atmosphere of wartime will be possible through the reconstruction of the interiors of the headquarters and sanitary dugouts, presented at the exhibition.
