Society and Culture: The exhibition "Your Friend Sergei Yesenin" in Novorossiysk

In the Novorossiysk Historical Museum-Reserve (Krasnodar Territory) an exhibition "Your Friend Sergei Yesenin" was opened from the funds of the S. A. Yesenin State Museum-Reserve (the Ryazan Region).

The exposition includes more than a hundred subjects that tell about the life and work of the Great Russian poet from the village of Konstantinovo. The farmstead of the poet's parents is depicted on the picturesque and graphic works of Ryazan authors. The landscapes, illustrations for the poet's works are presented. A special place is occupied by the portrait of S. A. Yesenin, performed by the People's Artist of the USSR F. D. Konstantinov.

The exposition presents the female costume of the village of Konstantinovo and the things that were part of the Yesenin family's furnishings. The image of the poet helps to recreate the cylinder and details of the male costume, including the scarf and gloves of Sergei Yesenin. The exhibition is complemented by photographs of different years, beginning in 1909 (the first known photograph of Yesenin), and ending in 1925, the poet's lifetime publications and manuscripts of his works. The exhibition in Novorossiysk will run until August 30.
