An Interactive Lesson of the Presidential Library for Kurgan High School Pupils

April 24 the A. K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library hosts an interactive lesson "The Presidential Library – to School!".

Pupils from Gymnasium № 32 gathered together to get familiar with the resources of the Presidential Library. They learned that the Presidential Library collections contain textbooks and training films - an invaluable additional information and visual-illustrative material for preparing for studies and exams.

During the practical lesson, high school pupils mastered a simple and extended search for books, learned how to correctly set search queries, and got familiar with the collections necessary for learning activities. The interactive Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World", as well as reference materials, which contain lists of textbooks on history, Russian language and social studies, which will help to fulfill the tasks of the Olympiad, and a catalog of links to various educational sites, attracted special interest.

At the end of the meeting all the guests of the event were registered and became readers of the Presidential Library.

On the website of the Presidential Library the region is represented by the collection "Kurgan Region: Pages of History". The collection includes studies, statistical essays, archival documents, cartographic and photographic materials of the XIX and early XXI centuries, characterizing the administrative, socioeconomic, geographical position of the Kurgan and Shadrinsky districts, the territory of which forms the basis of the modern Kurgan region.
