
Retrospective "War in Frame" presented for schoolchildren of Chita
On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, specialists of the Presidential Library's Transbaikal Regional Centre, which operates basing on the Pushkin Transbaikal Regional Universal Scientific Library held an event "Retrospective "War in the frame" for eighth grade students of secondary school No. 18 in Chita.
With the help of excerpts from Russian films about the war, the children were immersed in the atmosphere of that difficult time for our country, were able to feel the difficult fate of the heroes, as well as identify the values that are always important for people: patriotism, love for the Motherland, family, friendship.
The schoolchildren were introduced to literary editions from the collection of the A. S. Pushkin Pushkin Transbaikal Regional Library, which became the basis for some films: "The Fate of Man" by Mikhail Sholokhov, "The Dawns are Quiet Here" by Boris Vasilyev and others.
The children also got acquainted with the resources of the Presidential Library on the example of the materials of the electronic collection Memory of the Great Victory, which includes official documents, books, wartime newspapers, propaganda publications, photo and newsreel, testimonies of the participants of military battles and home front workers, their personal documents and other materials.
