The Presidential Library hosted a presentation of the electronic version The Laurentian Chronicle, which took place on June 20 in the framework of the interregional conference "The Laurentian Chronicle: Historical Memory and Succession of Generations". Participants in the conference on the preservation of traditional culture in the modern society were the leading experts of museums, archives, academic institutions and universities, leaders and specialists of Russian national libraries, representatives of public authorities and public organizations, scientists and artists. The goal of the joint project of the Center of National Glory, the Presidential Library and the Russian National Library for the digitization of the Laurentian Chronicle is to make the manuscript accessible to everyone. Its digital version is located on the portals of both libraries. The conference participants were able to leaf through the electronic pages of the annals on the same day in the exhibition hall of the Presidential Library. A documentary film was prepared on the plasma panel prepared by the specialists of the Presidential Library. The film tells how the digitization of the manuscript took place. The exhibition project of the Presidential Library "Capitals of Russia: pages of history" is timed to coincide with the 1150th anniversary of the birth of Russian statehood.
