During the Patriotic War he was instructed to monitor the Volokolamskaya and Rzhev roads. Fulfilling this mission, Zhemchuzhnikov from June to October was in Tver. When the Russian troops crossed the border, he again came to the army and with distinction participated in the battles of the blockade of Spandau, under Lutzen, Bautzen, Leipzig, Magdeburg and Hamburg.
