The photographs depict a military memorial located in the city of Pyatigorsk. The military memorial arose in 1941. Here were buried fighters and officers who died from wounds in hospitals. At the top of the memorial is the figure of a grieving warrior. In the center is a stylized image of the pillbox, in the roof of which a five-pointed star is carved - a symbol of military valor. The star is torn, which means the death of the soldiers. Almost at the fence there is a mass grave of 24 soldiers of the Soviet Army who died during the fascist occupation of Pyatigorsk. They were wounded, who could not be evacuated from hospitals, and they were left without any medical assistance. At the entrance from the old cemetery, cadets and commanders of the Poltava Tank School are buried in the first avenue. In 1942 this school was in Pyatigorsk. The military cemetery is framed on the eastern side of the retaining wall, on which in the form of a bas-relief depicts soldiers of the Soviet Army of all arms. At the entrance to the memorial there is a cannon-howitzer caliber 122 and a tank T-34. In total, 670 known and unknown soldiers were buried in this cemetery .
