Photos of two icons included in the series "The Road of Life." Two icons of rectangular shape, made in the form of memorial kilometer-pillars-stele, in the center - a symbolic image of the monument, installed on the route of the Road of Life in the Leningrad region. Under the image there is an inscription in two lines: "The Road of Life". In the lower part - the laurel branch and the base of the stela, forming protrusions on both sides of the icon. White metal. Black enamel. The size is 30x10 mm. Pin fastening. On the reverse side - brand of the manufacturer: NCP, price 10 kop. In the series are icons with images of monuments: the memorial kilometer pillar "40", the laurel leaf on the Rumbolovo mountain. Location: From a private collection. - On the souvenir badges of the series "The Road of Life" symbolic images of monuments, established throughout the whole route of the Road of Life in the Leningrad region, are presented. In the collection of the Presidential Library there are two icons from the series, one of which depicts a memorial kilometer column with the designation of the 40th km of the Road of Life and a fragment of the memorial "Rumbolovskaya Gora" - a bay leaf. On the 10th kilometer of the Road of Life, at the foot of Rumbolovskaya Mountain there is a memorial of the Green Belt of Glory - Rumbolovskaya Gora. It was built in 1967 in Vsevolozhsk, at the fork of the roads leading to Ladoga Lake and Koltusham. The architects are PF Kozlov, V. N. Polukhin. The composition of the monument consists of two huge leaves of oak and laurel, a small acorn in front of them and a memorable stela with poetic lines. The tall green form of the oak leaf repeats four times and symbolizes strength, and four standing one after another laurel leaf symbolize glory. A small black acorn in front of large green leaves is a symbol of a new nascent life .
