On October 27, 2011, the Second Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Space" was held at the Presidential Library named after Boris N. Yeltsin, organized by the Presidential Library, the Federal Archival Agency, and the Union of Russian Museums. The conference was attended by representatives of administrations of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, heads of regional libraries, federal and regional archives, representatives of the Union of Russian Museums, federal and major regional universities. The participants discussed the issues of merging regional funds into electronic information resources. Within the framework of the conference, an open meeting of the working group on developing principles and approaches to combining presentation and access to library, archival, museum resources in accordance with modern international standards was held. For the first time in Russia, the international standards for archival descriptions were presented: ISAAR (CPF) - The International Standard for Archival Authoritative Records for Organizations, Names of Persons and Families, and the EAD (DTD) format - Coded archival description translated and published by the Presidential Library. An example of the Presidential Library's cooperation with regional institutions was the presentation of the Kaliningrad Museum of the World Ocean. The future of the pupils of the naval classes of St. Petersburg about the museum and its exhibits was told by the deputy director of the museum, L. V. Zubin. She also donated video materials from the funds of the Museum of the World Ocean to the Presidential Library. |
